Edward Malavenda has been a practicing attorney for more than 40 years. Mr. Malavenda was born in Colombia, South America, is fluent in Spanish, and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1982 after obtaining his Juris Doctor from Indiana University. Prior to attending Indiana University, he received a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering in 1977 from Vanderbilt University.
Mr. Malavenda is an experienced trial attorney. He has tried over 250 jury trials. He was a Criminal Law attorney for the first 20 years of his law career. He was a former Assistant State Attorney with the Broward County, FL State Attorney’s Office, as well as a Deputy Prosecutor with the Marion County, IN Prosecutor’s Office. During the past 20 years of his law career he litigated personal injury and property damage cases for State Farm and GEICO Insurance.
Mr. Malavenda is also a Supreme Court of Florida Certified Circuit Civil Mediator.
